This is the story of three generations woven together by love, creativity, and design—now blossoming into an exciting new venture. It began in 1988, when Margarita Courtney, originally from Puerto Rico, opened the doors to Margaux Interiors, a bespoke home and design boutique nestled on Sunset Drive in South Miami. For more than 30 years, Margaux Interiors flourished as a cherished name in the design world, blending unique artistry with a heartfelt passion for interiors, much like the colorful mosaic of its vibrant city.

With the sun-soaked beaches and lively spirit of Miami as the backdrop, Margarita’s daughter, Cristina Courtney, later joined her in the family business after gaining invaluable experience as a buyer at Bergdorf Goodman and ABC Carpet & Home in New York City. Together, for over 20 years, they curated exquisite collections and crafted stunning homes that echoed the effortless elegance of their tropical surroundings.

After several decades in the home and design industry—and with Margarita now focusing only on select design projects—the family has embarked on a new adventure: Margaux Miami. This female, family-owned jewelry brand continues its legacy with a fresh perspective on refined elegance. Today, Cristina serves as Associate Director of Advancement at The Cushman School, Margarita remains an accomplished interior designer, and Margarita's granddaughter, Carolina Baigorri, living and working in New York City, is one of the beautiful faces of the brand. Their aligned passions and seamless collaboration make this new chapter possible despite their busy lives.
